About this statement

This statement applies to dranthonyjhoward.com. I want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. It aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What you can do on this site

  • ZoomZoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen.
  • Use a keyboardMove around the whole site using a keyboard alone.
  • Use a screen readerThe bone animation on the home page is decorative and hidden from screen readers.
  • Stop movementIf your device is set to reduce motion, the site's animations and automatic scrolling switch off.
3

Automatic scrolling

If you do nothing for 20 seconds, each page slowly scrolls down by itself. It stops as soon as you scroll, swipe or use the keyboard. A Pause scrolling button stays in the bottom corner of every page, and turns it back on when pressed again.

4

Known limitations

  • The CV (PDF) has not yet been checked with a screen reader. If you need it in another format, email me.
  • On the About and Instructing pages, the large quotations fade in as you scroll. While they are fading in, their contrast is below the WCAG minimum. Once fully on screen they meet it. If you use reduced motion, they appear at full contrast straight away.

How this site was tested

This site was tested on 8 October 2026 with automated checks (axe-core 4 against WCAG 2.2 AA, and Google Lighthouse on mobile settings), and by moving through every page with the keyboard alone. [A screen-reader check with VoiceOver on Mac is still to be done before launch.]
